1. Contract of Employment
Employees are entitled to a written statement of particulars of employment, which meets the requirements of the Employment Rights Act, commonly referred to as a contract of employment. This should be provided within the first two months of employment, if employment is to last a month or more. It is however recommended that you provide a contract of employment at the start of employment and include enhanced provisions to protect your business.
This document is suitable for both hourly paid and salaried employees, and includes options for:
Fixed term contracts (e.g. maternity leave cover); shifts; call out allowance; discretionary bonus; commission; production based bonus; company car or van; fuel card; car allowance; driving licence; mobile telephones; carry over of holiday; increasing holiday with long service; pension; food borne illness; company sick pay; probation period; lay-off & short-time working; alcohol & drugs testing; confidentiality; life assurance; death in service benefit; medical insurance; receipt of gifts; anti-bribery; intellectual property rights. It also includes payment in lieu of notice and garden leave clauses.
