7. Letter Requiring Employee Attend Disciplinary Hearing
This letter invites your employee to a Disciplinary Hearing on a specific date and time.
You should provide at least 2-5 working days notice of the Hearing, depending on the allegations/misconduct, to give the employee a chance to prepare.
The right to be accompanied is explained in the letter and it prompts you to refer to documentary evidence, which you may have gathered as part of your investigation.
It is very important to comply with the ACAS code of practice on discipline and grievance. The disciplinary policy available here at the HR Template Shop, and associated template letters and forms, will help you do that.
Be sure to send this letter via recorded delivery, so that you can trace when the employee receives it.
